Are you a talented multi-tasker that doesn't break a sweat when juggling multiple situations? Do your friends refer to you as "The Champion of First Impressions"? Most importantly, are you able to connect with people, to the extent that you know your FedEx driver is longing to begin a career as a Cat Behavior Consultant? If so, you should be a Leasing Specialist with Blue Ridge Companies.

Experience and Skills


You're Good At:


  • Customer service (this is a big one).
  • Working well under pressure.
  • Working with others (another big one).
  • Using computer software to process all rental applications.
  • Professionally greeting, qualifying, touring and leasing apartments to prospective residents.
  • Following-up with all prospective traffic via phone, mail and/or e-mail.
  • Driving. Yep, you've got to have a valid driver's license to drive the golf cart.

You Might Also Be Good At:


  • Connecting with people, people like the FedEx driver.
  • Generating qualified traffic through outside marketing efforts.
  • The Phone Voice. You know, the one that sounds like you mixed a little glitter in with your toothpaste that morning.
  • Planning, promoting and attending resident social functions.

Level of Education Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
